JOB SUMMARY:

The Area Cookie Coordinator (ACC) serves as the first point of contact for the Service Unit Cookie Manager (SUCM) and troops during the Girl Scout Cookie Program. The ACC serves as a liaison for GSGATL throughout the Girl Scout Cookie Program for the SUCM and troops.

Area Cookie Coordinators provide program, process and procedural based support to volunteers to maintain consistent processes throughout the organization. The role bridges the communication needed between the volunteer and GSGATL to ensure a satisfying volunteer experience that supports effective delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience throughout the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Attend GSGATLs organizational meetings for the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
  • Attend follow-up meetings and complete program check-in surveys as needed throughout the program year. Meetings may be held in person or video call.
  • Attend GSGATL Service Unit Cookie Manager Training. Participation/attendance is required.
  • Conduct training and facilitate distribution of program materials for all SUCMs that require additional ones or that failed to provide a shipping address. This should be done following the Covid-19 Guidelines for employees and volunteers established by GSGATL.
  • Be an ongoing resource to assigned service units; providing contact information, availability and response hours for assistance. Support to volunteers should include but is not limited to: emails with weekly updates and tips, ensure GSGATL communications are read and understood, links to tools provided by council and/or baker, etc. Communication and liaison activities should be accomplished via email, telephone and face to face following the Covid-19 Guidelines for employees and volunteers established by GSGATL.
  • Attend delivery day (Count N Go) to assist GSGATL with cookie distribution to Troops. Participation/Attendance is required. Provide support to GSGATL with cupboard process if necessary.
  • Review troop/service unit orders (product and rewards) submitted for accuracy and completeness, making necessary corrections if errors are found in eBudde, all these completed in the deadline communicated by GSGATL.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills required.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, eBudde and Digital Cookie ordering system.
  • Provide training to volunteers on council processes and requirements for the cookie program.
  • Access to the internet and a personal computer.
  • Area Cookie Coordinator must be registered members of Girl Scouts of the USA.
  • Candidate must successfully complete a criminal and credit background check and motor vehicle license review.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal, motor vehicle and credit background check.
