Big South Fork Jet is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records and accounts, as well as assisting with the processing of invoices, and other related activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and a background in bookkeeping and financial analysis. This position will require the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The Bookkeeper will report to the Controller and be responsible for all aspects of the Controller's Accounting Department.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable tasks for both accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Processes invoices from vendors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Processes payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including tax returns, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, etc. as needed.
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations for both accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a bookkeeper or similar role required; or equivalent experience in accounting preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
